Representative of Degrémont S.A. for a 164 M€ O&M Contract until 2017, including Assets Renewal, and DGM of EDAS Joint Venture (50% Degrémont S.A. & 50% Aguas de Barcelona) in charge of La Farfana Waste Water Treatment Plant (315 MUSD Capital Worth; 760,000 CMD; population served 3,300,000 inhabitants; 110 employees; certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001).
Major challenges of this mission: ensure a smooth contractual transition, establish a sane and well-balanced relationship with our new Partner, improve our benefits compared to the initial proposal, improve our image to our Client’s eyes, conclude a successful labor-union collective negotiation, manage several major crisis (8.0 Richter Grade Earthquake).
Also Project Manager in charge of the O&M proposal submitted in July 2007 for the International Call for Tenders launch by AGUAS ANDINAS “Operation, Maintenance and Renewal of La Farfana WWTP” and participation to the DBO proposal submitted in August 2009 for the El Trebal-Mapocho WWTP Project (570,000 CMD; 195 MUSD Capital Worth; 156 M€ O&M and Renewal Contract until 2021). This contract has been awarded to DSA / Agbar in September 2009.

In charge of the O&M Start-up of Wadi Ma’In Reverse Osmosis Treatment Plant and Conveyance System (RO using the brackish water streams feeding the Dead Sea; 128,000 CMD; 130 MUSD Capital Worth financed on USAid Grant; 7-year DBO contract with 64 employees), representing IDI (DSA’s US Subsidiary) as leader of the O&M Joint Venture settled with Morganti, US Subsidiary of CCC Group.

Contract Manager in charge of the O&M start-up and routine operation of Chen-Chin Lake Advanced Potable Water Treatment Plant (15-year DBO Contract; DWTP including pre and post-ozonation, fluidized bed softening – biggest process unit in the world - and GAC filtration; 450,000 CMD; 6 M€ annual O&M turnover). Functional position as Degrémont’s Legal Representative in Taiwan, and operational position as Deputy Plant Manager (team of 35 persons) in partnership with China Ecotek Corp. (Group China Steel Corp.). CCL DWTP has been awarded ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Certifications on September 8th, 2006, and the first ranking for the Taiwan Comprehensive Performance Evaluation 2005.

In charge of supervising various O&M Contracts, either at the proposal or start-up stages: Saint Martin (DBO, WWTP – Mauritius), As Samra (BOT, WWTP – Jordan), Wadi Ma’In (DBO, RO – Jordan), Yangju (BOT, WWTP – South Korea). Creation of the “Guidelines for O&M Start-up”, a document summarizing Degrémont’s technical, financial and contractual know-how, experiences, rules and tools in O&M Management (ancestor of Oméga Services).

In charge of both Operation & Maintenance Contract (4.6 M€ annual turnover) and Process Improvement Works (1.0 M€) on a 250,000 PE WWTP (DBO Contract).

Responsible for the Operation Department of a 300,000 CMD WWTP managed under a Build-Operate-Transfer scheme (250 MUSD Capital Worth), with a monthly turnover of 2.9 MUSD. Recruiting, training and management of both production and laboratory teams (34 persons). Joint Venture between Lyonnaise-des-Eaux and Degrémont.

Responsible for the Operational Reliability and Maintenance Engineering of Colombes WWTP, within the Technical Assistance Contract for S.I.A.A.P. during the first years of operation.

In charge of municipal and industrial potential markets study of Degrémont S.A. in Egypt. Responsible for developing the O&M and Standard Units markets. Sale of Potable Water Compact Units.

In charge of various Reliability Studies at the Proposal Stage of several Water Treatment Projects. Development of the commercial presentations and training of the Proposal Engineers on the new methods.
